EXL Engineering and BCRMCA recently presented an in-house Pervious Technician Certification course for Lafarge Canada Inc. Twenty people successfully completed the course held in Coquitlam.
Another session of the BCRMCA Basic Concrete Technology Workshop is scheduled for October 12 and 13 in Kelowna. This 1 1/2 day course covers everything from the properties of cement to finishing and protecting concrete, and will be presented by Bryan Russell, Matt Dalkie, Richard Horth, Frank D’Amico, Andy Williams, Cengiz Guldemet and Carolyn Campbell. Members of the Education Committee are working on an Advanced Mix Design Course, targeting delivery for the fall of 2012, focusing on design requirements for pervious, SCC (self-consolidating concrete) and high volume SCM (supplementary cementitous material) mixes.
