HST Transitioning - Free information sessions

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is hosting FREE, general information sessions for businesses in Northern BC, the North Coast, the Cariboo, the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland about the harmonized sales tax (HST). Registration is required. Visit CRA’s website for locations, dates and times. 

 Additionally, the BC Trucking Association (BCTA) is hosting a workshop covering the technical and administrative aspects of the transition to the harmonized sales tax (HST) on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Hotel Grand Pacific in Victoria.  The 2 hour HST Transition Workshop will be of interest to bookkeepers, accounting staff, and/or IT personnel who need to plan for HST implementation prior to July 1, 2010, when the new tax becomes effective.  Advance registration and a fee is required.
